Alan J. White, VP Managed Defense

Topic:  Weaponization of AI

Alan White is the Vice President for Mandiant Managed Defense, after most recently having worked in the  Middle East for Digital14 as the SVP of Cyber Advisory Services, Cyber Network Defense, Head of  xen1thLabs, and Digital Education. Prior to that, he was a Global Managing Director for Dell SecureWorks,  where he led all global regions (APJ and EMEA) outside the US while living in Tokyo. As an expatriate, he  built the APJ business, including security and risk consulting and APJ and EMEA SOC operations. Prior he  led North America Consulting for SecureWorks for VAPT, DFIR, and GRC. After serving as an Army Cyber  Officer for over 25 years, he is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, including tours in Afghanistan, where he  worked with the NSA, Germany, and Haiti.  He offers a wealth of leadership, team building, and cybersecurity experience. He has led teams around  the globe and understands the nature of building effective security consulting practices and managed  services for high-growth environments.  Lastly, Alan began working in the field with hands-on experience performing various professional services,  including digital forensics, incident response, vulnerability assessments, application security assessments,  compliance assessments, and digital education. He has won several SANS and DoD hacker competitions. He raises the operating profile of organizations and creates highly functioning while achieving tremendous  success for the wider business.
