Description: Large language models (LLMs) - Supporting Cybersecurity
In his upcoming talk, Alex will explain how large language models (LLMs), both cloud based and locally hosted, can support cybersecurity teams with tasks such as policy drafting, alert review, and log analysis. He will also demonstrate how to use LM Studio, a tool that runs AI models securely and privately without the need for an internet connection.
Presenter: Alex Linos
Alex Linos is the Information Technology Director for the Town of North Haven and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He serves as the Co-Chair of Emergency Support Function 17 (ESF 17) for Connecticut’s Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) Region 2, where he helps coordinate cybersecurity planning and response across nearly thirty municipalities and leads regional cybersecurity briefings and tabletop exercises.
